A Day in the Life of a Part-Time Affiliate Marketeer
I just read this post (a day as an affiliate) and decided I would do my own ‘day in the life’ type post.
0730: Wake up, reach for the laptop and log into Amazon Associates to check my orders and earnings for the previous day. Check my emails and new posts on the a4u forum, have a look in StatCounter and see how many hits my sites have had so far then have a quick look in Affiliate Window to see how many people clicked on my links to their merchants but did not buy anything. Check some of my sites to see if they are still ranking in Google.
0815: Get in the shower and have some breakfast.
0900: Look at a few of my sites and add a bit of content here and there.
0930: Get into work and do my morning daily tasks.
1030: Check my email, have a browse of a4u. If it’s quiet at work I will work on a few of my sites, adding content and designing any new sites.
1300: Go to the gym.
1415: Back to my desk for a quick feed then spend the afternoon working on sites or reading other affiliate blogs, sites and forums. Check stats from time to time and have a proper look at the data from Google Analytics. Add some items to my list of things to do for my sites.
1715: Leave work and head to my girlfriends for a night of non-affiliate marketing related activities or:
1730: Get home, check emails, update some sites, do some site design and generally waste time on the forums until bed time.
As you can see I manage to get a fair few hours in during the day as my day job is pretty quiet at the moment. My time spent is quite unfocused and I really should plan my time better but it is hard as I don’t know how much time I will have during the day. If I was full-time I would really plan my time so I knew what I should be doing at any point in the day.
Like most people, I expect, I waste a fair amount of time reading forums, blogs and affiliate related sites when I should be working away.
How do you spend your days?
Sounds very similar to me, I saw Affiliate Blogger’s post on the same thing, and think I will follow suite and do a similar ‘day in the life of’.
I look forward to reading it. Always good to hear how other affiliates structure their days.
This is just about the same as me, far too much time spent on forums, i think a plan of action for each day is the way forward !
Hi Joe, I wish I had more time in the day as I think then I would be able to reach my goal of doing this full time quicker and be out of my current job, although its not really that bad, just not enjoyable, interesting and rewarding like Affiliate Marketing can be.
Great idea for a post as other part time affiliates can compare how people structure their days to achieve their goals.

Yeah, its a catch-22. You can’t earn enough to go full-time until you are working full-time!
