How I Got Rich

I have started this blog to track my progress in the world of Internet affiliate marketing.

I first heard of affiliate marketing in around 2007 after a friend acquired the Rich Jerk ebook.  We quickly read through it and decided to give its methods a try.  Unfortunately we didn’t get rich as quickly as we hoped so gave up and I forgot all about affiliate marketing.

About two years later, around the start of 2009, I heard of someone who had made their fortune from the Internet so I thought I’d give Internet affiliate marketing another try.  After a bit of research I came across this thread on the Affiliates4u forum and decided to try out the methods being posted.

After setting up a few websites I decided I would start this blog to help me keep track of what I have been doing and maybe get some input from other affiliate marketers.

Update: Well its now about two years since I start affiliate marketing properly and I’m still working away at it. Not much as much money as I’d like but more than I was before I started! Still mainly focusing on exact match keyword domain niche sites but slowly moving into more general, bigger sites but having trouble getting them ranking. My main focus at the moment is understanding link building and how to get backlinks for my sites which is something I’ve neglected for a long time. I think for me to move up a level in terms of earnings I need a good system for getting links to my sites.
