Giving up the Day Job
Friday was my last day of work and I am now unemployed so I guess that makes me a full-time affiliate marketer!
I’m only earning (from affiliate marketing) about a third of the monthly take home pay I was getting from my job so I can’t say my affiliate marketing earnings have allowed me to give up the day job.
I’m off on my travels next week so I am hoping the £400 I am making from affiliate marketing a month (plus my final paycheck, returned deposit from flat, etc) will allow me to give affiliate marketing a go full-time.
My goal is to be making £2,000 per month from affiliate marketing by the time I return to England as I believe this will be enough for me to go full-time in England. Wish me luck!
PS It feels good staying up until 11.30 on a Sunday night and not have to worry about getting up for work the following day.

It’s even nicer waking up on Monday morning and realisng you don’t have to get up as early.
How long are you away for?
Make sure you don;t waste most of the day asleep tho as I often find myself doing!
Cheers guys. It hasn’t really sunk in yet as I am away visiting family but I’m sure in the next few days it will.
I am going to be strict with my days and do a weekly and daily time table. Don’t want to waste this chance.
Not sure how long I will be away for. I reckon at least three months and possibly up to two years depending on circumstances.
Good luck Joe, I wish I was leaving my full time job to go Full time in the Affiliate Marketing world. Spending more hours during the day when you can concentrate purely on designing a new site or trying to promote existing sites will be much easier that holding 2 jobs. I’m sure you’ll see more money coming in in the coming months.
Good luck, a bit jealous, wish I could jack in the 9-5 and give it a crack full time, but the old excuses of mortgage and family to support mean I have to keep plugging away as a hobby until I can break freee
