Going Full-Time

After a week off from any kind of work I am now starting my full-time assualt on the world of Internet affiliate marketing. To ensure no time is wasted I am going to make a timetable for each day and also do a work list for that day so I know what I should be doing at any given time.  The schedule for this week will look something like this but I will tweak it as necessary:

  • 6.30: get up
  • 7.00: have breakfast
  • 7.30: check sales from previous day, check emails, tracking data and forums
  • 8.00: Go to the gym, have a shower etc
  • 9.00: Have some food and do task list for the day
  • 9.30: Work!
  • 12.30: Go for lunch
  • 13.15: Go for a swin, sunbathe, read and learn a bit of Thai
  • 14.00: Work some more
  • 15.00: Chores and non-am related tasks
  • 16.00: End of day

Not a very stressful day with only four hours of actual work but if I am focused and consistent I think I should be ok.  I’m not adverse to working extra hours outside of this and on the weekends and this will be my minimum workload to ensure I get the basics done.

I am currently doing about £450 a month so will be looking to improve this with extra hours I am putting in.

Update: I didn’t do the 13.15 swim, read & learn Thai bit and worked instead.   I wrote out what I wanted to do that day and didn’t get anywhere near finishing it.  I don’t think four hours is enough really.

This is going to be interesting, seeing how actually focusing on affiliate marketing works out for you…best of luck, hope it all works out!!! Many budding affiliates are watching

Cheers David, to be honest I was spending quite a lot of hours on it before during the day at work when it was quiet so I don’t think I’m spending that much more time on it now doing 4-5 hours a day.

I think something like 10-14 hours a day could really see some good results but I’m not sure I want to give it that much time at the moment since I’ve got a new country to explore.

It’s a tough call deciding how much time you think you need to put in to get the results you want.

congrats on the move to Thailand and going full time! I wish i was as brave as you and had as much time! your time table looks like you’re going to be very relaxed and have the body of a spartan by the time you get back! I would love to take time out like that and focus on affiliate marketing full time.Although i have to admit living off £450 a month might be a bit tough if i tried it…the danger of working online is, you buy as much as you earn!

Yeah £450 isn’t really enough, not even in Thailand. If it doesn’t pick up substantially in the next few months I will have to get a job out here and go back to doing affiliate marketing on the side.

What do you do about taxes working abroad? I figure most affiliates will pay into a UK bank account?.. Am i right in thinking that if the income is paid to you i the UK then you are still liable for UK tax?

I was thinking of moving abroad.. maybe to the middle east where there are no taxes in some countries – but if i am right and i still have to pay UK tax then it kinda offsets the advantage of living in a tax free country. I might as well just do web work and get paid in local currency I figure.

    Any thoughts?
