Outsourcing link building with ODesk – Update
Since my last posts about ordering some link building through ODesk I’ve had about 5 or 6 jobs completed. Each one has been for 120 forum profile backlinks to a different one of my sites. The jobs all went through smoothly but I have had trouble getting the new links indexed. I’ve tried pinging the list of urls to the profiles but it hasn’t seem to have done much.
I’ve tried to look for the backlinks by using http://www.backlinkwatch.com/ and the Yahoo site explorer but for some of my sites only a few of the links that have been built show up and for others none of these links show up.
This is a bit disappointing as it seems to be slowing the whole process down a lot.
But on the upside two of the sides I have had links built for have moved up the SERPS shortly after their links were build. One was in the bottom half of page one and moved to number two in Google and the other was at the bottom of page one and moved to number seven on page one in Google. It might be a coincidence but the timing is pretty bang on.
Time will tell if the other sites get the same boost.
In the meantime I have been ordering more links for my other sites and also trying to do more blog commenting to try and improve my backlinking efforts.

I did this for one of my sites a little while ago, and only had 60 links done. I was ranking ~300th in G for the sites keyword (the domain is an exact match too), and I had a massive rise up to the bottom of the first page. I’m not slowly rising and am getting a lot of 2/3/4 positions on page 1, with an average of 4.1 at the moment! It’s an exact match keyword with 90k UK monthly exact searches too, according to google, so things are looking good!
Hope yours move up the SERPS too!
dont be worried about those links not being indexed or showing up, these tend to show up over a longer period of time.
also u are paying someone to do these profile links , just do it yourself , ask urself how are they managing to get them in such a short time?
I am paying yes. Not sure how they do it. Perhaps it is automated. Got any idea yourself?
yep its all automated , u can get scripts that are based to work on certain forum software or the better paid ones will do a number of different forum software.
just enter link details click a button and off it goes.
try searching google for automated profile link software or similar.
remember u can automate anything , even if you are crap at any coding just search and do some digging.
Within my main miche I occasionally notice a site move up the SERPS rapidly and when I do the research, it’s obvious that they are getting links from mass blog commenting/autoblogging campaigns. Within a couple of weeks they tend to move down rapidly again and this has largely put me off trying these methods as I am in it for the long-haul.
I would be interested to see the results of this but I would also recommend not doing too much of it and giving the big G a few weeks to detect and respond to any rapid increase in your ranking before you decide if it’s successful or not.
I’ve been reading your blog and decided to go for a few of these myself. I’m just waiting for the guy to finish.
I’ve tried 60 each on two poorly performing sites – one is not in the top 100 and one is on page 3. Hopefully I’ll see some similar improvements.
I think on sites that are ranking poorly you haven’t got much to lose with this approach. Let us know how you get on.
@mar which automated link script/software do you use? care to share
