That Sunday Night Feeling
Now that I am back working full-time some of the things I’d left behind are returning.
The main one is that Sunday night feeling where you know you have work the next day which is even worse after having some time off. Last week I was off from work and was on holiday and today (Monday) is a public holiday so I am getting that Sunday night feeling a day late but it is just as strong if not stronger. I am really fired up to do some affiliate marketing work but have lots of planning and preparation to do for the day job so can’t even do that!
I’ve set myself another goal which is to be earning £900 a month by the end of June which is about four months time. This should be enough for me to quit the day job and go full-time again.
I plan to do this via my existing sites and the addition of one big site which I am yet to start.
Can it be done? Watch this space.

why don’t you sell off some of your smaller sites giving you money and time to invest in a bigger one?
Having a dayjob is a bitch but can also be quite useful.
If you are earning enough to support your lifestyle you can reinvest the money you are earning from AM into developing your current or future sites.
Part of the main task is finding people who are affordable and know what they are doing but once you have, it removes the boring and tedious part of the game and allows your sites to expand and bring in more traffic and sales even though you are working full time elsewhere.
That is true Ian. I am starting to pay for written content now which is something I hated having to do in the past so getting someone else to do it is nice! It is rather pricey though. Need to find a good link builder too.
That is an idea but to be honest I don’t think they’d be worth much. Traffic is too low on them.
I know of one of your sites which I think you could sell quite easily. You are at #1 for the main term and you have a competitor at #2 behind you. Although you are currently #1 your competitor has a lot more content and is building lots of relevant links and I think it is only a matter of time before they overtake you. If you sell that site to your competitor before they outrank you you could probably get a decent price from them.
Is that the potato one? That was one of my first if not my first site. It will be a shame to see it get out ranked but it only makes a few quid a month.
That’s the one.
He may still be interested though.
If your site is priming visitors, but his is converting them then he may be making decent money from the niche.
Also, having first and second positions means you can ‘guide’ the visitor somewhat by only displaying the higher priced items. A higher conversion rate coupled with a higher product price may be worth a fair bit each month to him.
Just some thoughts really, without knowing traffic etc it’s hard to say but might be worth a try and get rid of some dead wood.
THE SUNDAY NIGHT FEELING!!!!!….I HATE that feeling! And yes, after some extra time off, or having some really good fun over the weekend etc.. makes it even worse.
I belive its the feeling of loss of freedom. On a weekend you get a snif of what its like to be free..but you know on that sunday night that tomorrow you have to get up at xxAM, be in work for XXam…do work for someone else for the majority of the day and will generally get home at xxPM…only leaving a few precious hours of free time on an evening to relax or do your own things etc..
Its almost like returing to prison.
