This is the kind of idea I should be having
I stumbled across this website yesterday – Thailand ebooks – and it occurred to me that this was the kind of site I should’ve thought of or at least something along these lines.
Since being in Thailand I have been thinking about trying to find a way to use my location and experience of being in Thailand from an affiliate perspective. I thought about a Thailand blog (which I did start) but couldn’t think how to monetise it. I presumed the readership would already be based in Thailand so what could I sell them? I couldn’t find any Thai affiliate programmes and ordering items online overseas is a bit risky due to the officials down at customs always on the lookout for tea money.
But the above site finds a clever way around that by promoting online products of which in this niche there are money.
Hats off to your sir whoever you are!
How about Thailand excursions and trips? Visit the place yourself, take photos etc think of content / review.
You could even market it to the English people in hostels etc via flyers or posters?
Thanks. I’m not sure they would have affiliate programmes though….
The UK economy is falling apart and people are leaving in droves. A lot of them will be looking for advice on moving to Thailand – so why not write your own e-book?
Or do a site as Henry suggested and target it at people in the uk looking for a holiday – lots of holiday companies and airport parking to go at. Lots of good urls available too!
Without being rude – what I don’t sense here is a killer instinct.

There are tons!
For example:
STA Travel
Viator
Isango
Or do exactly as he is doing just better, just because someone else is doing it does not mean you cant improve upon the idea and make it better.
You could write a blog targetting UK people going to Thailand. Think hotels, trips charters anything you can monotize.
BTW just got back from Pattaya about 2 hours ago and that place is mental. Its going to be weird walking into a bar at home now and not having 20 girls screaming at you
P
I went to Pattaya last weekend with the mrs. Not the best place to take your girlfriend! We never made it to Walking street but I’ve heard it is mad.
I did start putting things like that on the blog for the UK people so will wait and see who my visitors are.
